A Small, Local Business That Truly Cares
Simply Turf LLC is a locally owned lawn care company based in Gainesville, Virginia, founded in 2019 by Patrick Klippen. We serve homeowners across Prince William, Loudoun, Fairfax, and Fauquier counties, and we specialize in one thing: turf health. Fertilization, weed control, aeration and overseeding, mosquito and tick control, and compost topdressing. We are not a mow-and-go landscaping company, and we are not a national franchise.
That focus matters here. Northern Virginia sits in the transition zone, where cool-season tall fescue has to survive hot, humid summers in heavy clay soil. Programs written for a national service area do not account for that. Ours are built around it, and they are applied by technicians licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Horticulture from Colorado State University in 2008 and spent nearly a decade honing his expertise in the green industry with a landscape design/build firm before pursuing his entrepreneurial vision. As a husband and father to Brooks and Emma, Patrick finds fulfillment in knowing his family can safely enjoy the outdoors — a value that shapes Simply Turf's commitment to eco-friendly and family-friendly lawn care. A proud Virginian and active supporter of local small businesses in Gainesville, he also enjoys cheering for his favorite DC sports teams, especially the Washington Commanders.
