Our story
Patrick Klippen founded Simply Turf LLC in Gainesville, Virginia, in 2019. We care for lawns across Prince William, Loudoun, Fairfax and Fauquier counties, and we stick to turf and yard health.
Northern Virginia sits in the transition zone, where cool-season tall fescue has to survive hot, humid summers in heavy clay. Programs written for a national service area don't account for that, but ours are built around it, and technicians licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia apply them.
Patrick started Simply Turf in 2019 to offer lawn care with organic based fertilizers and services that are not only effective, but safe for kids & pets. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Horticulture from Colorado State University in 2008, then spent nearly a decade with a landscape design/build firm before starting his own company.
He's a husband and father to Brooks and Emma, and he wants his own family outside on the lawn. That's why our fertilizers are organic based and why we tell you exactly when it's safe to go back out.
A proud Virginian, he supports local small businesses in Gainesville and cheers for the DC teams, especially the Washington Commanders.

How we work
We focus on fertilization, weed control, aeration and overseeding, mosquito and tick control, and compost topdressing. We don't mow, and we're not a landscaping company.
We've been locally owned and operated from Gainesville since 2019, and there's no national call center routing your work to subcontractors.
Every service is pay as you go. If you're not happy, we keep working until it's resolved, and if you're still not satisfied we refund your most recent fertilization and weed control service.
We feed with premium organic-based, slow-release fertilizers, and every pesticide we use is EPA registered and applied at its label rate by a VDACS certified applicator. Keep kids and pets off treated areas until they're dry, typically about two hours.

Client Support & Routing Specialist
Dan oversees client support and scheduling. He holds a B.S. in Landscape Horticulture from Colorado State University (Class of 2008, with Patrick) and pairs that background with customer service, giving clear lawn care advice and building client relationships that last.
Administrative Support
Melanie manages daily operations, our CRM and administrative workflows. With a background in administrative support, she keeps the office organized and the details right for every client.
